Abstract

This study examines the utilization of interactive digital media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at the elementary school level to enhance students' understanding of Islamic values. Amidst the demands of the digital era, conventional PAI instruction often renders students passive, highlighting the need for learning media innovations suited to students' characteristics. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research was conducted at SDN Patereman 2, Bangkalan Regency, involving one PAI teacher and 18 students from grades IV to VI selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through observation, oral interaction, and document study, which were subsequently analyzed using an interactive model comprising data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of interactive digital media such as Wordwall, Islamic animated videos, and visual presentation media is systematically applied across the apperception, material delivery, and evaluation stages. Despite facing challenges such as limited devices and unstable internet connectivity, the teacher successfully overcame these barriers through group learning and the provision of offline alternative media. The use of interactive digital media proved effective in increasing student engagement, motivation, and conceptual understanding of moral values and Islamic teachings in daily life.
