Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Wordwall as a learning medium in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) during the digital era, employing a systematic literature review approach. While Wordwall is widely used as an interactive learning platform in education, its application within the specific context of Islamic Religious Education requires further examination. This study analyzes scholarly articles from reputable national and international journals published between 2019 and 2024. The results indicate that using Wordwall effectively enhances student motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes in PAI subjects. The medium fosters a student-centered learning approach and strengthens students' understanding of Islamic values through engaging educational game features. However, challenges such as limited digital infrastructure and varying levels of teacher competence in operating the technology were identified. These findings suggest that Wordwall serves as an innovative alternative learning medium for PAI instruction in the digital era, provided its implementation is adapted to specific school contexts and student needs. The study recommends intensive teacher training and the development of Wordwall content tailored to the characteristics of Islamic religious subject matter.
