This study aims to improve the understanding of I'lal material in Shifir Tsani's class through the application of cooperative learning methods. I'lal material often presents challenges for female students due to the complexity of recognizing letter changes and meanings in sentence structures. Cooperative learning methods are expected to provide space for female students to collaborate, discuss, and deepen their understanding interactively. This study used a quantitative approach with a classroom action research design implemented in two cycles. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of I'lal material after the implementation of cooperative learning methods, as evidenced by the increase in comprehension test scores and student learning activities in each cycle. Thus, cooperative learning methods have proven effective as an alternative learning strategy for I'lal material, encouraging active learning and improving student learning outcomes.
