https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1569

This research is aimed at demonstrating that an understanding of Istitha'ah in Islam is linked to subsidies carried out by the ministry of religious affairs (BPKH), in order that the performance of the hajj should be sharia. As a result of the increased "subsidy" carried out by the ministry of religions at the height of the subsidy burden, governments (the ministry of religions) should reexamine the "subsidy" policies. It is best that the ministry of religions no longer subsidize hajj candidates. Not without cause or explanation. As the days of the future pilgrims became increasingly overcrowded. This suggests that the people of Indonesia have a wife in the practice of hajj. Other evidence is that many of the people voted for special hajj (plus) that would require far more than that of the regular hajj, which is a haji performed by the ministry of religions, to a few times more than that. Based on the above exposure, two formulas emerged: (1) how to apply haji fund subsidies in Indonesia (2) how the status of stay 'ah is linked to haji fund subsidies. The study USES the type of normative legal research with a normative jurisdictional approach. Which involved a study of fatwa, books, and the opinions of the lawyers associated with the title. Research has shown that the application of subsidies to the hajj fund has not been consistent with the true requirement of the hajj requirement. If there is a subsidy, it is not such a subsidy as the ponzi system, which tends to include tyranny within it. It should be sourced by personal rather than collective, as has been the case, except for subsidies from apbn and were meant for the common good, such as haji officials.
Siti Ropiah

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1637

The phenomenon of marrying a daughter resulting from adultery is taboo in society. In this case, Islamic scholars from four schools of thought have different opinions regarding the legal determination of the marriage between a daughter resulting from adultery and her biological father. The problematic outcome of the offspring from this marriage must be considered with maqosyidussyari'ah using the concept of hifdzunnasl. The aim of this research is to: Find out the relevance of the opinions of the Four Schools regarding the law of marriage between girls resulting from adultery and their biological fathers in relation to Islamic law in Indonesia and determine the impact of inbreeding between girls resulting from adultery and their biological fathers. The research method used is qualitative, with a library research approach, and a descriptive- analytic type of research. Research results: The marriage of a daughter resulting from adultery and her biological father according to the Hanafiyah and Hanabilah schools of thought is haram, whereas according to the Malikiyah and Syafi'iyah schools of thought it is halal but makruh. Provisions in Indonesian positive law tend to prohibit the issue of children marrying their biological father, especially with the presence of the Constitutional Court decision Number 46/PUU-VIII/2010.
Ade JamarudinAbdul Mufti AlbasyariM. https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1659

This research raises the concept of walad and the division of its rights in Islamic heritage according to the theory of Syahrur's hudud and the scholars of the fiqh school of thought. Syahrur does not differentiate the meaning of the word walad in Surah an-Nisa’ verses 11 and 12 and 176. Syahrur interpreted the word walad in Surah an-Nisa’ as a boy and a girl. This opinion is clearly different from the opinion that has developed among Sunni sect scholars. Scholars of the school of thought interpret the word walad in Surah an-Nisa’ verse 176 as a boy. This opinion has 2 reasons. First they use the pronunciation of walad isti'mali. Arabs interpret the pronunciation of walad as just a boy in letters (a daily habit), the second pronunciation of walad is interpreted in hamlu because there are three hadiths as supports. These three hadiths say that girls cannot spend their wealth. Syahrur established three forms of legal boundaries in the distribution of inheritance for boys and girls. The first is the maximum share limit for boys 66.6% and the minimum share limit for girls 33.3%. The second is the minimum limit that girls must receive 2/3. The third is that the minimum limit for girls gets half (50%) of the property share. Meanwhile, according to school scholars, the share received by a boy is the same as two parts for a girl. This understanding is interpreted through a bayani approach.
Jamaluddin

The study of popular culture is becoming increasingly important in understanding modern social and cultural dynamics. This research will discuss how popular culture influences the formation of identity, values and social interactions in the context of globalization. Popular culture, which includes music, film, television, social media, and fashion, has a significant impact on people's views and behavior. Contemporary interpretive approaches in popular culture analysis use literature study methods to investigate the influence of popular culture in the era of globalization. This method involves an in-depth review of the various related literature, which provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the theoretical basis and previous research on popular culture phenomena. The study highlights the importance of local contexts in interactions with global cultures, resulting in unique cultural hybridity. The research also explores how economic and political forces influence the production and consumption of popular culture and its impact on social structures and power relations. This analysis provides insight into how popular culture not only reflects but also influences social values and norms, as well as how people adapt and shape their identities. In conclusion, popular culture plays a key role in the formation and change of social values, and influences power dynamics and social structures, both in global and local contexts.
Jessenia Hayfa Anshara Ahmad NurrohimAndri Nirwana, A.N.

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1664

This research discusses a study of the rules of al-wujūh wa an-naẓāir in the tarjamah tafsiriyah regarding the word human in the Ministry of Religion's translation of the Koran. The verses of the Qur'an that were revealed in Arabic have many unique words and a variety of meanings according to the context of the verses, so it is necessary to study the meaning of these words to make it easier for Muslims to understand the verses. The rules of al-wujūh wa an-naẓāir are a study of the science of the Qur'an which discusses meaning and pronunciation. The spread of Muslims outside the Arab nation requires the translation of verses of the Qur'an into their native languages. There are two translation methods, namely literal translation and tafsiriyah translation. By formulating how to apply al-wujūh wa an-naẓāir and tarjamah tafsiriyah of the word human in the Qur'an, researchers used the maudhu'I method and a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the research are that the mention of humans in the Qur'an is Basyar, Insan, Nas, Bani Adam with the same meaning.
Siti Ersa MeylaniKharis NugrohoAbdullah MahmudMutohharun JinanTrisno SusiloAndri Nirwana AN

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1533

The linguistic study of the Qur'an is an important aspect in interpreting the Qur'ana because its scope is related to how a verse of the Qur'an is interpreted, Bintu Syati himself interprets the Koran from a linguistic perspective using the theory of antisynonymity and rejecting taraduf which in his analysis knife uses cross-reference theory. The research method used is a qualitative method based on books and journals (library review). The focus of this research is on the figure Aisyah Abdurrahman bintu Syathi’ and the theory she developed. The results of this research found that anti-synonymity theory views that there is no similarity in the meaning of lafadz lafadz in the Qur'an, each of which has its own meaning. The influence of Bintu Syathi's thoughts cannot be separated from the thoughts of Amin al-Khulli, her teacher and husband who also adhere to the theory of antisynonymity.
Yossi Kurnia YudatamaMeirando Rukhuz

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1632

Divorce is something that often happens to a family, including Muslim families living in Australia and Indonesia. In resolving problems caused after divorce, you must follow the regulations that apply to each country. In Australia regulations regarding divorce are included in the Family Law, namely in Australia's Marriage Act 1961 (Cth). Meanwhile in Indonesia it is listed in Law Number 1 of 1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI). This article will discuss several differences between the Family Laws in Australia and Indonesia. The laws in these two countries definitely have similarities. However, behind the similarities, of course there are also differences. This research is normative or literature research. The approach used is a qualitative approach. Then the data in this research is secondary data sourced from legal material from Australia and Indonesia. By using a comparative study method between the two components studied. So at the end several differences regarding family law issues will be shown in the laws of the two countries. From the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that in Australia Muslims are given the authority to divorce according to their choice, which can be done according to Islamic law or through regulatory procedures in Australia. Meanwhile, Muslim divorces in Indonesia are only considered valid if they are carried out in court.
Andhika Septian Anharil Huda

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1557

This research aims to determine the impact of online games on the learning motivation of students in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program at the Mataram State Islamic University (UIN Mataram). The method used is a quantitative method with a positivism approach, which involves numerical data and analysis of phenomena that occur. This type of research is ex post facto, which is carried out empirically and systematically. This research was conducted on third semester students class of 2021 at the PAI UIN Mataram Study Program who played online games. Data was collected using a Likert scale questionnaire to measure the influence of online games on learning motivation, as well as through observation and interviews. The initial hypothesis of the research states that there is a significant influence of online games on the learning motivation of third semester students at the PAI UIN Mataram Study Program. This research is a population study, and data analysis was carried out using parametric statistical tests from inferential statistics, using simple linear regression to test hypotheses. The results of the regression equation Y = 102,223 + (-0.35)X show that when variable X (online games) has a value of 0, variable Y (learning motivation) has a value of 102,223. A negative coefficient of -0.35 indicates that every 1% increase in variable X will reduce variable Y by 0.35. This means that the more often students play online games, the more their learning motivation decreases. A significance value of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05, indicates that the alternative hypothesis is accepted, which means that there is a significant influence of online games on the learning motivation of third semester students at the PAI UIN Mataram Study Program. The correlation value (R) of 0.556 and R Square of 0.31 shows that online games have a 31% influence on learning motivation, while 69% is influenced by other factors.
MauzifaSiti Husna Ainu SyukriL. https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1652

Patience is one of the noble morals that every Muslim must have. So far, patience is often said to be an attitude of restraint from all the trials that God has given him. However, in the Qur'an, patience has a broad meaning. This research aims to find signs of the word patience found in several verses in the Qur'an using a semiotic approach. The author himself uses Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory, namely trichotomy (representation, object and interpretant) to reveal the meaning of patience in the Qur'an which is used as a sign. The research method used is qualitative content analysis, namely research that aims to identify the message of a media as the object of research. The results of this research show that patience is not only interpreted as an attitude to refrain from every trial, but also means patience in enduring suffering, patience with someone's unjust actions, patience with people who deny as experienced by the Prophet Ulul Azmi, patience so as not to be sad and anxious, patiently refrain from something that is hated, patiently advise each other over all obstacles, and patiently advise each other in goodness. According to the author, this research still needs to be developed in order to expand the study of the Qur'an, especially regarding the meaning of patience in other verses in the Qur'an.
Luci Intan Sari

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1273

This article aims to describe the method used by Harald Motzki in exploring the authenticity of hadith and to describe his refutation of Orientalist skepticism towards hadith. Since the 19th century scientifically, orientalists began to study the authenticity of hadith as a source of Islamic teachings, the skeptical attitude of some orientalists was challenged by Muslim thinkers and several other orientalists. For Motzki, both camps have not answered the substance of the question of the authenticity of the hadith itself, he also uses certain methods in answering this. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical method. This paper aims to reveal Harald Motzki's hadith methodology and forms of criticism of the thoughts of Orientalist figures systematically, so that readers can understand the sensitive points in hadith studies that are the target of Orientalist criticism and how to respond to them. . The results show that Motzki succeeded in proving that the Prophet's hadith can be traced back to the first century Hijriah using Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq as a sample. Then, Harald Motzki succeeded in breaking the theories of his predecessors with the theory of dating and isnad cum matn. He counterattacked criticism of the sanad of Ignaz Goldziher and Joseph Schacht, criticism of the common link and gold isnad of G.H.A. Juynboll. Apart from that, the contribution he made became a spark for the birth of scientific studies on hadith in the future. For example, the isnad cum matn theory is often used to identify the quality of a hadith to this day.
Muhammad Ilham BaihaqqiNur Kholis

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1214

This article will discuss two main aspects of human rights. The first is the concept of freedom, and the second is the concept of gender equality. This discussion will use an Islamic approach with the method of maudhu'i interpretation. Freedom according to Islam is freedom that is more directed and limited, free but bound not to cross the limits set by Islam. In contrast to freedom according to human rights which tends to be liberal to do the will without limits, while not interfering with the rights of others. While gender equality according to Islam is equality that does not mean exactly the same, the equivalent referred to here is in the value of work done in the eyes of Allah SWT. In Islam men and women have their respective portions in carrying out their rights and obligations. This study dismisses the issue that states that Islam is a religion that is intolerant of human rights, especially in the aspects of freedom and gender equality. However, Islam has its own guidelines to regulate how to implement the concept of freedom and gender equality contained in the Qur'an.
Fandi ErdiansahAbu Bakar

Al-Farabi speaks with physical and spiritual happiness, Sa'adah maddiyah wa ma'nawiyyah, this will not be obtained by people unless they live in a community in an ideal state, al-Madinah al-fadilah. Al-Farabi's political theory of the State boils down to the regulation of the existence of god and devotion to him (theocentric). In contrast to Greek political and statehood theories, al-Farabi later stated that the purpose of statehood was obtain happiness and justice. https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1225

Along with the massive issue of Domestic Violence (DV), Islam as a religion that focus on peace and elevates the status of women actually gets a distorted understanding, namely affirmation of domestic violence, precisely in Surah An-Nisa verse 34, 35 and 128 which is only understood textually where the husband is allowed to separate the bed and beat his wife. So, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study of the verse to analyze the issue of affirmation of domestic violence in Islam. This study was conducted with a literature study through sources relevant to the topic. Through this research, it was found that Islam has never affirmed the existence of domestic violence. Through the study of tafsir and asbabun nuzul of the verse concerned, Islam states that men have the right to lead the family and wives are obliged to obey their husbands in matters justified by religion. The husband's advantage over the wife should not be abused to commit violence against the wife. The verse explains the solutionthat are presented in the event of nusyuz between the two in different and detailed ways. These methods are also relevant to the psychological conditions of women and men, so the statement that Islam justifies domestic violence is an unjustified statement.
Alvian Bhakti PamungkasNabila Thyra Janitra

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1222

The good quality of education in South Korea still leaves many problems to be solved. The high suicide rate among students, rampant cases of bullying, the differences in quality between private school and public school and high family demands for school achievement are known as education fever. This research is a type of descriptive analysis research, comparing two variables of the education system, namely the South Korean education system and the Islamic education system. Qualitative research method, with data collection from literature that is related to the issues discussed. The problem that occurs in the world of Korean education when viewed from the perspective of Islamic education is the purpose of education itself. Islamic education emphasizes usefulness and human beings who believe and have good morals, while South Korean education aims to change the social strata of families in society. Education is not just a ladder to change social status, but to develop human potential so that they can become caliphs on earth. Not only building intellectual capacity but also spiritual capacity, to provide strength and encouragement in dealing with every failure in life.
Amal Fathullah ZarkasyiRafdi Ilahi

The existence of Hadits is one of the source of law in Islam, where Hadits is the second source after the al-Qur’an. There are two elements that must be know in the narration of hadist, namely Tahammul al-Hadist wa al-Ada’. From this, the author will discuss the methods must be used. Local wisdom is a cultural element that must be explored, studied, and revitalized because its essence is so important in strengthening the foundation of national identity in facing the challenges of globalization. The question that arises next is by looking at the rapid development of technology and science whether the Markobar tradition is able to maintain its existence in the midst of globalization.
Alhidayath ParinduriAnita YuningsihNursukma SuriPujiati

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1671

In recent years, the global discourse on environmental crises has intensified, driven by frequent natural disasters and ecological changes exacerbated by human actions. Islamic teachings, encapsulated in the Qur’an and Hadith, emphasize stewardship of the environment and prohibit actions that cause harm or corruption on Earth. This article explores the concept of environmental fiqh, known as fiqh al-bi'ah, which integrates Islamic jurisprudence with ecological principles to guide sustainable environmental management. It highlights the normative basis of environmental conservation rooted in Qur’anic verses and Prophetic traditions that underscore the interconnectedness of creation and humanity's role as stewards (khalifah). Fiqh al-bi'ah addresses issues such as cleanliness (thaharah), land reclamation (ihya al-mawat), and ecosystem protection (hima), aligning with the broader objectives (maqasid) of Islamic law. By elucidating these principles, this study underscores the ethical imperative of environmental preservation in Islam, offering a holistic framework to address contemporary environmental challenges and promote harmony between human activities and ecological integrity.
Mumun MunawarohAbdillah Syaikhon

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1207

One of the discussions in the fiqh chapter relating to the position of women when praying in congregation with male worshippers, it has been agreed by salaf scholars based on the hadith of the Prophet that the best position of female pilgrims is to be behind. However, it is allowed for the position of female pilgrims to be next to male pilgrims as long as there is a barrier or barrier that blocks it. This certainly does not apply in the Haram mosque of Makkah because the condition is dharurat. But an unnatural scene occurred in the Pondok al-Zaitun mosque, when there was a female makmum behind the imam, while behind the female makmum there was a male worshipper. This research explores the Islamic perspective on the law of women praying in congregation in the back shaf in mosques. The method of study of literature and the Quran is used, with a philosophical approach to science. The results showed that views on women's prayers in mosques varied according to some scholars. After exploring the laws of various schools of jurisprudence, researchers did not find any law that allows women to pray in the front shaf. This study concludes that women's understanding and practice in congregational prayer in mosques must be adapted to the context and view of Islam that is inclusive and full of wisdom.
Asif TrisnaniMoh.
STAI Muhammadiyah Probolinggo carries out the Catur Darma of Higher Education policy by adding Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan as the fourth dharma. This policy is explained through the institution's mandatory course, namely Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) which must be taken by all students, including Muslims from Muhammadiyah and non-Muhammadiyah backgrounds. This research focuses on two aspects: (1) the AIK policy at STAI Muhammadiyah Probolinggo, and (2) the implementation of the AIK policy for students with non-Muhammadiyah backgrounds. This research is qualitative, using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research results show that (1) students from non-Muhammadiyah backgrounds are required to take AIK courses, with lecturers paying attention to proportions, material presented, and local context; and (2) the AIK learning model involves rules of study, which changes the doctrinal approach to a dialogical one, namely using a theory-based curriculum approachWasathiyah as the main analytical tool.
Fauziyah Putri MeilindaAbsori

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1675

This research examines the gender equality communication strategies employed by women at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, utilizing Judith Butler's theory of gender performativity (1990) as a framework. Gender performativity in educational institutions signifies a proactive effort to attain equality in leadership, education, commerce, and decision-making. Women now hold public and authoritative positions equivalent to men due to their active participation. The changing communication styles of female leaders signify the dissolution of patriarchal authority and customs in Islamic boarding schools. Despite patriarchal leadership, gender equality is progressing. The rise of women's leadership, scientific expertise, and business management within the institution signifies inclusive governance. The transformation of gender roles in educational institutions is altering internal dynamics and motivating students and future generations to prioritize equality and inclusion. This gender role shift in school is changing internal dynamics and inspiring students and the next generation to value equality and inclusion. The institution promotes gender equality and balance in traditional Islamic education. The regeneration of Darussalam Islamic Boarding School preserves these progressive values, creating a dynamic, inclusive educational tradition. This study shows that inclusiveness requires constant effort and adaptation, and communication strategies are crucial to gender equality. For women to fully participate in public and educational spaces, structural and cultural changes are needed to achieve gender equality in traditional spaces.
Sumadi SumadiLilis Nurteti

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1672

This study compares the theory of progressive Islam and the ijtihad method in the context of Islamic legal reform. Using a qualitative approach through literature review, this research evaluates the characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses of both approaches. The analysis reveals that progressive Islam is often seen as innovative in addressing contemporary challenges, offering more flexible responses. However, this approach may risk overlooking the foundational principles of established Sharia. Conversely, the ijtihad method, which is part of the science of ushul fiqh, provides a more structured framework for interpreting laws from religious texts. Through ijtihad, Islamic law is expected to evolve continuously, avoiding stagnation without overstepping Sharia boundaries. The critical analysis shows that the ijtihad method holds greater potential to produce sustainable legal reforms that align with Sharia principles, compared to progressive Islam, which relies more on liberal interpretation of religious texts. This study concludes that the ijtihad method offers flexible legal reform while maintaining consistency with the core values of Islam.
Isnain La HarisiDeni IrawanM. Wahid Abdullah

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1603

This research aims to reveal the existence and urgency of asbab al-nuzul as a tool for contextual interpretation, especially the double movement hermeneutic perspective. Classical commentators really prioritize interpretation using asbab al-nuzul as a tool in finding the meaning of verses. Meanwhile, contextual interpretation in the contemporary era is considered to exclude the tools of asbab al-nuzul which are usually used by classical commentators, moreover, linguistic interpretation considers that asbab al-nuzul is not important, such as the Bintu Syati' linguistic paradigm. This type of research is qualitative with a library research approach using article or book sources related to asbab al-nuzul. The results of this research show that asbab al-nuzul still has its urgency in contextual interpretation such as in double movement hermeneutics, because in revealing the message contained in the verses of the Koran, Fazlur Rahman's double movement method is used. Rahman's first move was to examine the historical situation and conditions behind a verse revealed called asbab al-nuzul. So this research can refute the assumption that asbab al-nuzul no longer has urgency in contemporary-contextual interpretation.
Dewi Malihatil HimayahSuqiyah Musafa’ah

Wages or ijarah are a contract to take advantage by way of replacement (payment). In other words, ijarah is the ownership of the services of a mu'ajiir by a mustajiir, as well as the owner of the assets of the mustajiir by a mu'ajiir. The issue of wages is emphasized by the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW presented by Abi Said Al Khuduri, RA., which contains “ Whoever hires an ajiir should mention the wages or payments. Another hadith further says from Ibn Umar RA that the Messenger of Allah said that “ Give workers their wages before their sweat dries (HR. Ibn Majah). Workers/laborers have the right to earn income that can meet their more decent and more prosperous livelihood, so the government has established a wage policy that protects workers/laborers. Based on the initial analysis, there is harmony between the wage systems in accordance with Law no. 13 of 2003 with a muamalah principle view. It would be even better if the study were continued in more depth so that the similarities and differences would be truly clearly described.
Raden Nurhayati

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/303

Based on the discussion above, it can be concluded that Muhammad Naquib al-Attas' educational thinking tends to be selective reconstructive in nature which seeks to present an integrated Islamic education system, which still maintains the principle of harmony and individual balance which describes the realization of the main human function as ‘abd Allah and caliph al ard. According to al-Attas, science today has been contaminated by thoughts from the secular Western world that are contrary to the values of Islamic teachings. Therefore, it is necessary to make an effort through the “Islamization of science” movement by taking positive aspects from modern developments as selectively as possible, even though they come from the West.
Enjang SukandiSiti Nia Anisa Inayah

Islamic education is indeed very interesting to study in more depth and education cannot be separated from the nature of education itself. In studying Islamic education, humans need an understanding of issues of Islamic science and religion. Ananta Wijaya in his book believes that science and religion are two different entities. Both have different ways of working even though they were both born from the same point. Islamic education is defined as education with a universal paradigm, in this context it is humans who dedicate themselves as caliphs on earth. This research aims to analyze the Islamic religion related to Islamic educational research with all the aspects that make it up. The research method used is Literature Review. Based on the results of research, religion is not born from testing whose quality of truth is very subjective. Religion means a bond that must be adhered to and obeyed by humans. Religion is an absolute element in developing personal character and building a harmonious and peaceful social life, educating them to have a calm soul, dare to uphold the truth, have commendable morals and be able to elevate human status higher than other creatures of God. Human needs for religion are based on several dominant factors, namely natural factors, human shortcomings and weaknesses and the challenges they face. Therefore religion is a very complete package needed by humans.
Muhammad Nur KholisSiti Ma’rufahAnis FitriaDamanhuri

Islamic religious education for students is very important because religion will guide, control and control all children's behavior. Because only religion can control and direct humans to the good path. So education and guidance regarding Islamic religious education must be more effective. This requires teachers to really understand the material or teaching materials that will be delivered. This research uses a qualitative methodology with a Literature Study approach, this approach is used to extract information from literature sources that are relevant to the research focus, both from books, journals and the results of previous research findings. The results of research on PAI material analysis illustrate that there are several important things for teachers to do, including; Gardening, Classifying or grouping learning materials based on relevant topics, themes or concepts. Second, choose the material that is most relevant and in accordance with the Graduate Competency Standards (SKL) and Competency Standards (SK) for Islamic Religious Education subjects by paying attention to students' conditions and interests, because quite a few teachers deliver material without understanding students' needs and desires. Third, Present the material in depth to the selected material and adapt it to the students' abilities. Fourth, teachers must also be careful in choosing the methods and strategies used when delivering teaching material, so that students can enjoy the learning process enthusiastically and pleasantly. https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1226

Currently, in the social reality around us, possession of property is considered the standard of one's happiness, and having wealth is considered a sign of good luck. Therefore, it can be considered that the main reason why humans tend to pursue wealth is because of the perception that the need for wealth is comparable to the need for family or descendants. It is best to remember that the wealth in this world basically belongs to Allah SWT, as the Creator and Ruler of the universe and its contents. Therefore, wealth owned by humans should be considered a trust from Allah SWT, and humans are entrusted with managing it responsibly in accordance with the rules contained in the Koran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, both for life in this world and in the afterlife.
Mulyono JamalPrama Sidiq Ramadhanzzam Fatahillah Mumtaz

Sufism has an important role in the spread of Islam in Indonesia. Islamization in Indonesia is colored by the practice of Sufism spread in various tariqa groups which are still preserved. In its development, Sufism began to shift, until it approached the circumstance, and moved away from the origin of Sufism until many Islamic modernists in the world rejected the teachings of Sufism. Hamka as an Islamic thinker in Indonesia expresses the concept of modern Sufism that restores it to its purity according to the spirit in Islam.
This research examines the implementation of Fatwa DSN-MUI Number 004 of 2003 concerning productive zakat by LAZISNU in Muaro Jambi, in supporting community business capital from the perspective of Maqasid Syariah law. This research is field research, data collected through interviews and direct observation, and supported by literature research which includes literature related to productive zakat, sharia economic law, Al-Quran, and Hadith. The results show that LAZISNU applies productive zakat to help mustahiq who meet certain criteria in starting or developing a business, aiming to increase their economic independence. The selection process is done by verification that considers the economic condition, entrepreneurial potential, and mustahiq's business plan. From a Maqasid Syariah perspective, this implementation is in line with the principles of hifz al-mal (maintenance of wealth) and hifz al-nafs (maintenance of soul), where the distributed zakat not only provides short-term benefits, but also strengthens the mustahiq's economy in a sustainable manner. Zakat recipients, through business capital, are expected to be able to create a steady income and fulfill basic needs such as food and shelter. Nonetheless, the main challenge is the low level of public literacy about productive zakat as sustainable business capital, so the awareness to give zakat and its utilization is still low.
MarwiyahImron RosyadiRizka

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1706

Religious moderation is an approach in understanding and practicing religious teachings in a balanced, non-extreme and open manner to differences. In the midst of cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in Indonesia, religious moderation is the key to realizing Islam as a religion of mercy for all nature. This concept emphasizes Islam as a religion that brings peace, compassion and prosperity to all creatures, without distinguishing between religious backgrounds or beliefs. Religious moderation includes values such as tasamuh, justice, balance, and respect for diversity, which, if implemented well, can become the basis for creating a harmonious and inclusive social life. The implementation of religious moderation faces challenges, especially from views or groups that are more inclined towards extremist or radical thinking. However, with good education, especially through religious institutions such as the Ta'lim Council, messages of moderation can be socialized to the community. In this context, the Ta'lim Council acts as an educational medium that teaches inclusive understanding of religion, encourages dialogue between communities, and fosters a tolerant attitude among its congregation. This research aims to explore the role of religious moderation in creating Islam as a blessing for the universe, identify challenges in its implementation, and formulate effective strategies that can be implemented by religious institutions in internalizing moderation values. With religious moderation, Islam can appear as a teaching that brings goodness to all mankind and supports harmony in diverse societies.
Syafi’iLazuardi Ramadhan

The author also examines the relationship of "Al-Mishbah" with other concepts in Islamic thought, such as "nur" (light) and "iman." Through this analysis, the article demonstrates that understanding "Al-Mishbah" not only enriches the interpretation of the Arabic language but also deepens the insight into how divine light can guide individuals in their spiritual journeys, as well as foster collective awareness within the community.
Dini Rona AyuniKharis NugrohoAndri Nirwana AN

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1690

The main purpose of this study is to identify the main characteristics of Sufistic interpretation and analyze its methods of interpretation of Qur'anic verses as well as their influence on Islamic spirituality. The research method used is library research, which includes document analysis and literature review of works of sufistic interpretation, especially those written by figures such as Ibn Arabi and Jalaluddin Rumi. This study also involves a comparative analysis between sufistic interpretation and conventional interpretation to explore differences in approach and emphasis. The results of the study show that sufistic interpretation has two layers of meaning: the meaning of birth (zahir) and the meaning of the inner (bathin). The sharia dimension provides legal guidelines, while the Sufism dimension opens up space for deeper spiritual understanding. Methods of interpretation in sufistic interpretation, such as ta'wil and contemplation, allow individuals to not only understand the text intellectually, but also feel the Divine presence in their lives. This study found that Sufistic interpretation plays an important role in enriching Islamic spirituality, encouraging people to deepen their relationship with God and live the teachings of the Qur'an in a more personal and transformative way. The significance of this research lies in its contribution to broadening the horizons of Qur'anic interpretation, particularly from a sufistic perspective, as well as demonstrating the relevance of this approach in the spiritual life of Muslims in the contemporary era. This research is expected to provide inspiration for further research on the relationship between sacred texts and spiritual experiences in the Islamic tradition.
Zaduna FiddarainAbdullah MahmudAndri Nirwana, A.N.

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1210

The initial meaning of asceticism seems to avoid worldly life and only focuses on ukhrawi things. In this modern era, this kind of meaning will cause setbacks in all aspects of life. The meaning of asceticism needs to be further developed and adapted to modern life without abandoning principles such as ukhrawi affairs. In this research, we will examine the identification of the meaning of classical asceticism and young asceticism from the advice verses for Qarun in QS: Al-Qashah:76-77 by comparing two books of classical and contemporary tafsir, classical tafsir using the book Mafatih al-Ghaib and contemporary books using the book Al-Munir. In the message to Qarun there is still a dilemma for him, whether Qarun should change his attitude by abandoning his accumulated wealth and stopping in his worldly endeavors and only focusing on obedience to worship. Or be moderate by continuing to run your business well, but the wealth is enjoyed as best as possible according to your needs and used in a way that is approved by Allah. The research method used is literature. The basis of analysis used by researchers is the content analysis method. With reference to these two main references, and other supporting references, the author concludes that he finds the meaning of classical asceticism and modern asceticism from the books Mafatih al-Ghaib and Al-Munir. The meaning of classical asceticism is found in the interpretation of Ar-Rosi in the advice to the third Qarun and the meaning of modern asceticism is found in the advice to the third Qarun as well. Ar-Rozi emphasized focusing on Ukrainian affairs in interpreting the advice for this third Qarun. In the third interpretation, Wahbah Az-Zuhaili equates or balances worldly and spiritual affairs or with the concept of wasthiyah al-Islam fi al-hayat or Islamic moderation in life. In the book Al Munir asceticism is interpreted as Islamic muderation in life or wasthiyah al-Islam fi al-hayat. This means that asceticism does not only focus on the ukhrawi and leaves the world.
Moh. Ali GhafirSujiat Zubaidi Saleh

Understanding a hadith is not based on the meaning of the text alone, but also understanding the current context to apply religious teachings in the current situation. The contribution of contemporary such as Syuhudi Ismail is very important in the contextual understanding of hadith. This research aims to provide an understanding of the meaning of rukyat and hisab hadith, as well as identify M. Syuhudi Ismail's contextual understanding of rukyat and hisab hadith. The method used is descriptive with a library search, while the object of the research is the hadith narrated by Imam Bukari and Imam Muslim. The results this study provide an understanding that, Syuhudi Ismail provides an understanding that Muslims when they want to observe the new moon can use sophisticated tools such as telescopes and so on, because nowadays it is more modern where technology is very advanced. With the existence of these tools, they must be used as well as possible, so that Muslims today get more knowledge related to modern technology. Thus, the process observing the hilal is easier to do and of course the results are more accurate, compared to using the eyes like when the Prophet was still alive.
Shinta Ratu Putri Unon PurwantoWirawan Seto Aji PamungkasMuhid

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1109

In learning, there are components related to the learning process, one of which is the learning method. In connection with the learning process under study, it was found that so far the learning material at SMPN 2 Sintoga was taught through relatively conventional methods, so that the absorption of material for some students seemed monotonous and boring. This study aims to describe the learning methods applied at SMPN 2 Sintoga. The research method uses descriptive qualitative methods with primary data collection through interviews and observations As for secondary data obtained through documentation. The results showed that the application of active learning methods at SMPN 2 Sintoga was 100% unsuccessful, this was indicated by the results of observations and interviews with PAI teachers at SMPN 2 Sintoga. This is also influenced by 2 factors, namely supporting factors such as the existence of adequate learning facilities and resources, high student interest in learning, and the enthusiasm and professionalism of Islamic education teachers in guiding their students and inhibiting factors, namely the existence of some students who are still reluctant to express their opinions, and different student backgrounds. Active learning methods need to be improved so that students can be actively involved in learning activities.
Muaddyl AkhyarIswantir MSalmi Wati

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1111

Social development becomes an inevitable reality in the dynamics of social life. The social transformation that occurs in society certainly influences Islamic law as a system of social norms that are directly related to human behavior. This article aims to conduct a literature-based analysis, exploring manhaj tarjih and tajdid in the Muhammadiyah tradition as a basis for developing thinking. Islamic studies at Muhammadiyah are not only limited to the framework of religious studies, but also as a process of understanding Islam as a whole, with the aim of bringing Islam as a blessing for all of nature (rahmatan lil alamin). This approach is not limited to the conceptual realm, but rather focuses on real applications, in accordance with the philosophical principles of baldatun toyyibatun wa rabbun ghofur. Using a historical analysis approach, the author assesses that Muhammadiyah's ijtihad method in responding to social change is dynamic and progressive, adopting and developing three approaches, namely bayani, tahlili, and istislahi.
Imro Atus SolihaRomelahNurul Humaidi

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1215

This paper examines more deeply Naomi Wolf's thoughts on beauty. According to him, universal and physically dependent beauty standards are a myth that oppresses women. Two things that underlie the existence of beauty myths are the motifs and elements that form them. The first motive for the formation of myths was for women to become entangled in industrialization and consumerism. Furthermore, the motive for the existence of myths is for women to remain in a subordinated position. There are three elements that form myth, namely; culture, religion and sexuality. All three have the function of keeping women in a subordinated position. To get out of the myth, Naomi Wolf made an offer in the form of a personal construction of beauty. This article provides the finding that Naomi Wolf's reading and offerings regarding lesbianism, subordination, and nudity will lead women to new myths. Islam as a shumul (comprehensive) religion provides a comprehensive beauty construction that includes the intellectual, moral and spiritual beauty of women.
Salman Al Farisiy

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1217

Islamophobic discourse has been a global phenomenon that has harmed Islam since the early 20th century. This article aims to reveal the root causes of Islamophobia with the perspective of epistemic racism initiated by Ramón Grosfoguel in sociological discourse. The material object of this study is Islamophobia found in Western literature and studies, which is explored using the theory of epistemic racism as a formal object. The results of this study reveal that epistemic racism towards the West manifests itself in two attitudes: first, political-identity hegemony formed from epistemic privilege and Eurocentrism. Second, othering (Fanaticism and Unilateral Claims of Truth) with superiority that considers non-Western inferior and backward. These two attitudes produce wrong knowledge of non-Westerners, especially Islam. Ultimately it has implications for hatred and dislike of Islam. This is in line with what S said. M. N. Al-Attas that Western knowledge about Islam is not complete (corruption of knowledge). This article concludes that Islamophobia is an attitude that Ramon Grosfoguel considers to be an act equivalent to racism that hates a certain race, but in this case it is a racist attitude between followers of a certain religion.
Ryan Arief RahmanAhmad Zulhaq

Knowledge is the result of human curiosity about something. Each type of knowledge also differs depending on how to obtain it and where to learn this knowledge. Talking about science, basically scientific activity in its development is due to three main problems, namely: what do you want to know, how to get knowledge, and what is the value of that knowledge. Epistemology includes the nature and sources of knowledge, methods of obtaining knowledge, and criteria for the validity of knowledge. The method used in this paper uses literature study methods or conducting studies from various books and other scientific works related to the topic raised, namely Science in Review of Philosophy Related to Epistemology: Definition and Scope of Epistemology, Theory of Truth, Objectivity of Science, and Methodology Science. This study aims to determine the extent to which the topic is related to current developments so as to produce new knowledge and contribute to knowledge that can be useful for the public.
Berlian OcsisSofyan Sauri

https://al-afkar.com/index.php/Afkar_Journal/article/view/1199

The central theme of the idea of renewal of thought in Islam lies in the key word I'aadatul Islam; That is the desire of the Muslim community to restore the role of the Islamic world in the global arena of world civilization. If Muhammad Abduh made Tajdid Al-Fahm (Renewing the Understanding of Islam) as a key word in his thought pattern, Rashid Rida had the concept of Tathbiq Al-Shari'ah or Tathbiq Qanun Al-Shar'iyyah, then, contemporary Islamic thinkers – Hasan Hanafi, Muhammad Arkoun and 'Abid Al-Jabiri – for example prefer to focus on the reconstruction of the understanding of tradition and criticism of the reason or system of thinking of Muslims. Al-Jabiri's concern for the decline of the Arabs and the failure of the Islamic revival in general, prompted him to examine the causes that led to this failure. The main problem that has not been resolved is how to respond and position heritage (turast) with the flow of modernization. The study should take into account the thoughts of the owner of the dal text. Studies must take into account the thoughts of the owner of the text in the context of its historical time, and reveal the ideological function desired by the thought intended in the realm of general knowledge to which it belongs. Thus, making the text contemporary for itself means separating it (fashl) from us and relating it (rabth) to the reality it produces.
Saidil YusronMohammad Muslih

This study aims to analyze the use of fiqh rules in Islamic economic fatwas issued by the National Sharia Council-Majelis Ulama Indonesia (DSN-MUI). The research method used is library research by using 152 DSN-MUI fatwas as primary data sources. The results showed that of the 152 fatwas studied, there were 4 fatwas (3%) that did not use fiqh rules, while 148 fatwas (97%) used fiqh rules in varying amounts between 1-8 rules per fatwa. The most frequently used fiqh rules are the rules "basically, all forms of muamalah may be carried out unless there is evidence that prohibits it", followed by the rules "dar'ul mafasid muqaddam 'ala jalbi al-mashalih", "ad-dharar yuzal", "al-hajatu tunzalu manzilata adh-dhururah", and "al-'adatu muhakkamah". This study concludes that fiqh rules are the main reference in the preparation of Islamic economic fatwas by DSN-MUI, which shows the urgency of fiqh rules in formulating laws related to contemporary Islamic economic issues.
Imam KamaluddinAchmad Charis MaulanaSultan Nanta Setia Dien Labolo
